Course Description

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to set out, monitor and close down traffic management plans and traffic guidance schemes in civil construction.

It applies to those working in supervisory roles. They generally work in teams in live traffic environments and hold some responsibility for the outcomes of others.

Licensing, legislative and certification requirements that apply to this unit can vary between states, territories, and industry sectors. Users must check requirements with relevant body before applying the unit.

Note: The terms Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Work Health and Safety (WHS) are equivalent and generally either can be used in the workplace. In jurisdictions where the National Model WHS Legislation has not been implemented Positive Training Academy will contextualise the unit of competency by referring to the existing state/territory OHS legislative requirements.

Selection Criteria

Students will need to meet the Selection Criteria requirements to be eligible to enter into this course. Evidence of the student meeting the Selection Criteria will be collected as part of the Enrolment process. Must provide acceptable photo ID such as Victorian driver’s license, or any other Australian driving license, passport, Vic roads proof of age card or Key-pass card. · Willing to do Language, Literacy and Numeracy Test
