Please note that many construction sites conduct specialized training on top of the CPCCWHS1001. This may include site-specific orientation akin to our White Card Course.
How Long Does It Take?
Each short course only lasts one (1) session of six (6) hours. Like our Traffic Management Course, all training will be conducted at Novo Business Park -13/326 Settlement Road, Thomastown Vic 3074. Please refer to our training calendar for available times and dates.
Method Of Instruction
All sessions are conducted face-to-face to adequately demonstrate all practical health and safety requirements for working on a construction site.
In light of COVID-19, each batch of enrollees will be limited to 15 at a time. However, this may change based on the room’s size and capacity. Please note that all individuals and assessors are required to maintain social distancing rules and wear the appropriate protective gear throughout the entire course.
Course & Administration Fee
Individual learners cost is $99.00 each. This includes Worksafe fees, administration fees, and covers all course materials required for the session. Please settle all payments before course commencement.
Note: If you represent or belong to an organization that wants to arrange training for a large group of people, please contact us for a smoother booking experience.
Enrolment Requirements
All students must meet the following requirements when applying to enter CPCCWHS1001:
- Photo ID such as: Valid Australian driver’s license, passport, Vic roads proof of age card, key-pass card
- Complete a Language, Literacy, and Numeracy Test
- Be able to submit all requirements during the enrolment process
How We Assess Enrollees
Oral Recitation
All enrollees will be called for an oral recitation to demonstrate their understanding of the course’s target competency. Depending on the assessor, this may occur in the form of an interview or a few short questions.
Written Assessment
During the session, all individuals will be given a written assessment tool to serve as evidence of concrete learning. This test will include a mix of short answer questions, long answer questions, multiple-choice questions, and scenario-based questions (crane training for Melbourne, safety protocols for specific situations, etc.).
Observation Checklist
An assessor will observe each enrollee based on course-specific criteria. This demonstrates their competence against an assessment standard, which is helpful when identifying necessary and observable job skills.
Case Studies
Through case studies, students can generalize their theoretical knowledge into more practical use. Alongside the assessor and other students, each individual will be allowed to demonstrate their skill in a simulated environment.
